Drea the bullet bra pin-up

Just wanted to share with you a photo taken by Photographer Mike McGhie back in October last year. I've never been game to post it until because I can be terribly self critical of myself. I've realised what bad thinking that is. I'm acutally quite proud of this shot.

Mike is amazing. He has the biggest stash of props and clothing I've ever known a photographer to posess. Now that's dedication. I am wearing a beautiful vintage bullet bra, high waist knickers and gloves that he supplied. He was so nice that he let me keep that beautiful spiral stitched bullet bra to take home. I think the fact that all his costuming was taking up room in his house and encroaching on his wife's space had something to do with it. Hehehe.

When my boyfriend and friends came to get me from the hotel after the shoot, I couldn't help but rip open my blouse and go "BAM! LOOK WHAT I GOT!" You've no idea how hard it is to find a vintage bra that fits. Not only is my bra size obscure, but they way they sized their bras back then was even more obscure. I wouldn't say the bra is a perfect fit but it looks good on and that's all you need for photos. My old vintage bra was a terrible fit and I spilled out all over the place. Not a good look. I'll have to re home that old gal to something with a smaller bust.
