Wagamama is a restaurant modelled on the ramen noodle bars popular in Japan. Having eaten there before, Julz and I decided to share an Udon noodle main mean knowing that is quite difficult to eat such a huge serving on one's own. This allowed us to enjoy two starters that were absolutely delicious. Chilli and Garlic steamed green soy beans known as Edamame (tastes better than it sounds, trust me) and hand cut sweet potato chips with wasabi mayonnaise. Accompanying my meal was my favourite apple, lime and mint juice. Juliet had some kind of exotic long island iced tea. I sampled said drink who's name I forgot and quite liked the taste.
After dinner we hit The Bowery in Fortitude Valley. The Bowery is a small unmarked bar filled of very well dressed barmen reminiscent of the prohibition era of New York. They even serve drinks from that time. Juliet went for a Sidecar and I was made a Raspberry Spire by our friendly bartender because I was indecisive. Best. Cocktail. Ever!

Juliet was also happy with her choice but it was a bit strong for me. We made ourselves comfortable in the high backed leather bench seat and chatted away in the low light of the bustling little bar.

Then we both got a 50's era cocktail named The Pussyfoot #2. Not only did it look nice, it only cost $10. Raspberry Spire promptly lost it's crown. The combination of some kind of mandarin liquor, Cointreu, a whole egg and whatever the heck else was in it had my taste buds in absolutely awe. It was SO good that the next day all I could think about was that taste. I'm not even kidding.
The Bowery. Oh yes. I shall return. Next time will be during the week when they have live jazz.
