Tiny vintage porcelain deer! (and other animals)

And so my Bambi obsession continues. Fresh out of the letterbox I bring you three very cute tiny porcelain fawns. Aren't they adorable?!

They now join my slowly growing collection of tiny porcelain animals. This collection started when one of my aunts gifted me the three little crocodiles that belonged to Nanna's mother. I'm hoping to find a suitable wall shelf case to display them in, with mirrored backing and closing glass doors.

My little animals are wrapped up and boxed safely until I find that display case. But the trio of fawns will reside with my 'Bambi Shrine' for the moment. It contains the salt and pepper shakers (on it's mothers), 1940's print edition of Disney's Bambi, porcelain doe, Disney Bambi view master reel, porcelain stag bookends, A 1939 print edition of Bambi's Children by Felix Salten and a 1940 print edition of Bambi by Felix Salten. I hope to find the german versions, the language in which it was originally written. Lucky I happen to be able to read German!

I won't be keeping my Bambi Shrine forever. The bits and pieces will be scattered around my future house. For now the one shelf is the safest place for them.
